Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will hold a crucial meeting tomorrow (March 17) with senior police officers to discuss the country's law and order situation. The meeting, which will take place at the Chief Adviser’s Office, is expected to bring together 127 senior police officials, including superintendents of police (SP) and other high-ranking officers.
Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder shared details of the meeting at a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy today. He stated that the chief adviser would listen to reports from field-level police officials and provide necessary directives to strengthen law enforcement efforts across the country.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam will deliver the welcome speech at the meeting, while six field-level officers will present reports on key issues related to law and order. Azad emphasized the significance of this meeting, noting that such a large-scale discussion between the chief adviser and police officials has not been held before.
The press briefing was also attended by Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Foyez Ahammad.
