Joint Operation by Navy and Police in Teknaf Results in Arrest of Arms Smuggler with Illegal Weapons

In Teknaf, a joint operation by the Navy and Police led to the arrest of a notorious arms and drug smuggler named Jahangir, who was found in possession of a large quantity of illegal weapons.
This information was confirmed by Lieutenant Shahriar Nishat, the contingent commander of Teknaf Naval Base, in a statement to the media on Monday, March 17.
Based on a tip-off, a raid was conducted at the residence of Jahangir, a major arms and drug dealer, located in the Leda Tower area of Ward 8 in Hnila Union. During the raid, authorities found and seized one firearm, three live grenades, four locally made sharp weapons, and two mobile phones. Jahangir, aged 48, is the son of Mir Kasem from the Leda area in Hnila Union.
The naval commander further stated that local sources revealed Jahangir has been involved in various criminal activities for an extended period. He has since been handed over to the Teknaf Model Police Station for further legal action.
