ဘင်္ဂလားပင်လယ်နှင့် နတ်မြစ်ဝ ရခိုင်ရေပိုင်နက်ထဲသို့ ခိုးဝင်ငါးဖမ်းနေသည့် ဘင်္ဂလားဒေ့ရှ်နိုင်ငံသားများကို အာရက္ခတပ်တော် (AA) က ဆက်တိုက်ဖမ်းဆီးနေကြောင်း သိရသည်။

ဖေဖော်ဝါရီ ၂၄ ရက်နေ့လည်ပိုင်းတွင် မောင်တောမြို့နယ်၊ သင်္ဘောကွေ့ (မွတ်ဆလင်) ကျေးရွာအနီးတွင် ဘင်္ဂလားဒေ့ရှ်ငါးဖမ်းလှေ ၂ စင်းနှင့် ငါးဖမ်းသမား ၁၁ ဦးကို AA က ဖမ်းဆီးကာ စစ်ဆေးမှုများ ပြုလုပ်နေကြောင်း သတင်းရရှိသည်။

AA နှင့် နီးစပ်သူတစ်ဦးက –

"နောက်ဆုံးရက်ပိုင်းတွေမှာ AA က ရခိုင်ရေပိုင်နက်အတွင်း ကင်းထွက်လှည့်ပတ်နေပါတယ်။ တရားမဝင်ဝင်ရောက်လာတဲ့ ဘင်္ဂလားဒေ့ရှ်ငါးဖမ်းလှေတွေကို တွေ့ရင် ဖမ်းဆီးပြီး စစ်ဆေးနေပါတယ်။ မကြာသေးမီကပဲ နှစ်စင်းဖမ်းဆီးထားတယ်" ဟု ပြောသည်။

ဖမ်းဆီးထားသည့် ငါးဖမ်းသမားများကို AA မှ စစ်ဆေးမေးမြန်းမှုများ ဆောင်ရွက်ပြီး လက်ရှိ အချိန်ထိ ထိန်းသိမ်းထားကြောင်း သိရသည်။

AA ၏ ဆက်တိုက်ဖမ်းဆီးမှုများကြောင့် ရခိုင်ရေပိုင်နက်အတွင်း ခိုးဝင်ငါးဖမ်းသည့် ဘင်္ဂလားဒေ့ရှ်ငါးဖမ်းလှေများ အနည်းငယ် လျော့နည်းလာကြောင်း ဒေသခံများက ပြောကြသည်။

"AA က ဖမ်းဆီးတာတွေလုပ်လာတော့ အရင်လိုများများ မမြင်တော့ဘူး။ ဒါပေမယ့် တင်းကျပ်စွာ ထိထိရောက်ရောက် ကိုင်တွယ်သင့်တယ်" ဟု မောင်တောဒေသခံတစ်ဦးက ပြောသည်။

AA သည် ၂၀၂၄ အောက်တိုဘာလမှစ၍ ဘင်္ဂလားဒေ့ရှ်ငါးဖမ်းလှေနှင့် ငါးဖမ်းသမားများကို ဖမ်းဆီးပြီး ဘင်္ဂလားဒေ့ရှ်ကမ်းခြေစောင့်တပ်နှင့် နယ်ခြားစောင့်တပ် (BGP) သို့ သုံးကြိမ်လွှဲပြောင်းပေးခဲ့သည်။

အဆိုပါ ငါးဖမ်းသမားများသည် ယင်းဒေသတွင် သာမန်နည်းလမ်းဖြင့် ငါးဖမ်းခြင်း မဟုတ်ဘဲ "Current Net" လျှပ်စစ်ပိုက်ကွန် အသုံးပြု၍ ငါးဖမ်းနေကြောင်း သိရသည်။

"Current Net ဆိုတာက ငါးသားပေါက်တွေပါမကျန် ဖမ်းယူနိုင်တဲ့အတွက် ငါးသယံဇာတတွေကို ပြတ်လပ်စေပါတယ်။ လျှပ်စစ်နဲ့ ရှော့တိုက်ဖမ်းတာတွေလုပ်တာတွေက ဒေသခံ ငါးဖမ်းသမားတွေ အထိခိုက်လာစေပါတယ်" ဟု လူမှုကူညီရေးလုပ်ဆောင်သူတစ်ဦးက ပြောသည်။

AA မှ "ထပ်မံ၍ ရခိုင်ရေပိုင်နက်ထဲ ကျူးကျော်ဝင်ရောက် ငါးဖမ်းမိပါက တရားဥပဒေနှင့်အညီ အရေးယူဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည်" ဟု ထုတ်ပြန်ထားသည်။

AA Continues to Arrest Illegal Fishermen in Rakhine Waters

The Arakan Army (AA) has been continuously arresting Bangladeshi fishermen who illegally enter Rakhine’s territorial waters near the Bay of Bengal and the Naf River, according to local sources in Maungdaw.

On February 24, around noon, the AA arrested two Bangladeshi fishing boats and 11 fishermen near Thinbaw Gwe (Muslim) village in Maungdaw Township. The arrested individuals are currently being interrogated and held in custody, according to sources close to the AA.

"In recent days, the AA has been patrolling Rakhine’s waters more frequently. Whenever they find illegal Bangladeshi fishing boats, they detain and question them. Just recently, they seized two boats," said a source close to the AA.

Due to these ongoing arrests, the number of Bangladeshi fishing boats illegally entering Rakhine waters has slightly decreased, according to locals.

"Since the AA started patrolling and making arrests, there have been fewer illegal boats compared to previous months. However, we urge them to take even stricter action," said a resident of Maungdaw.

Since October 2024, the AA has arrested Bangladeshi fishing boats and fishermen on three separate occasions, later handing them over to the Bangladesh Coast Guard and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGP).

Reports indicate that these fishermen are not using traditional fishing methods but instead employing "Current Nets," a type of fine-meshed electric fishing net that captures even the smallest fish, harming marine life and depleting fish stocks.

"The illegal fishermen are not just using regular fishing methods; they are using electric shock techniques to catch fish. This is killing fish at all stages of growth, causing a decline in fish populations," said a local humanitarian worker.

The AA has issued a statement warning that any further illegal fishing in their controlled waters will result in legal actions and penalties.
